Writer’s Camp
PØRTAL offers two connected studios for writer’s camps in De Hofbogen, Rotterdam Noord. With approximately 100 m² of studio space, the setup is built for writing, production, recording, playback, and collaboration across both rooms. The location is easily accessible by car and public transport, close to a highway exit and directly connected to Rotterdam Central Station by public transit.
From idea to mastered version in a single session.
Both studios are equipped with industry-standard audio interfaces with a vast array of both analog and digital inputs and outputs. Up to 64 channels of audio can be streamed latency-free from studio to studio via MADI. For example, studio 1 can serve as a control room and studio 2 as a live/tracking room (including talkback and monitoring), or vice versa.
Of course, it’s also possible to work with two teams in parallel, with rapid iteration and a joint playback at the end of the day. If you prefer not to spend time deciding on meals, customized catering options are available. If you require nearby accommodation, we can arrange this through our partnerships with local providers. The studios are run by the three founders: experienced music producers, label owners, and DJs with approximately 30 years of experience each.
Packages (8 hours – excluding VAT)
- A — Camp + Engineer — €1,250/day
Carefree camp day with extra pace. Included: lockout of both rooms, onboarding/tech check, Wi-Fi, coffee/tea/water, engineer (floating) for setup, routing, vocal takes & session management, plus end-of-day exports. - B — Premium Writer’s Camp (Producer-led) — €1,750/day
For labels/publishers/sync sprints with clear output. Included: everything from B + active producing/creative direction (1 founder) - Multi-day deals: discount on the daily rate for 2-3 days: 15%, 4-5 days: 20%, and 6+ days: 25%
Add-ons
- Additional engineer (1 per room): +€450/day
- Additional hours (after 8 hours): +€95/hour
- Catering: €25–€45 per person/day
