FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

1) What’s the difference between mixing and mastering, and which one do I need?

Mixing shapes the individual parts of a track into a complete mix. This includes levels, EQ, compression, effects, stereo placement, and overall balance. Mastering is the final stage before release. It refines an already finished mix for level, consistency, translation across playback systems, and the required format. If you are unsure which service fits your project, contact us and we can advise you.

2) How do I deliver my tracks for mixing/mastering (files, stems, references)?

Please deliver your files on time in the agreed format (e.g., WAV/AIFF, sample rate/bit depth, BPM/tempo and/or stems). If you have reference tracks, mix notes, or specific deliverables, include those as well. If files are missing/corrupted and we need to do conversion, recovery, or extra session prep, this may be billed as additional work.

3) How long does mixing/mastering take, and are revisions included?

Standard delivery is between 5 and 7 workdays. Rush delivery may be available at an additional rate. Two revision rounds per track are included by default. One revision round means one consolidated list of feedback on the same version, preferably with timecodes. Extra revisions, arrangement changes, creative rewrites, or requests outside the original scope may be billed separately. Clear errors on our side do not count toward the revision limit. Please send feedback within 3 business days after receiving a version.

4) Which workshop is right for me (DJ skills vs. production), and what level do I need?

Our workshops and training sessions are available for different levels. The exact content, requirements, and level are listed in the workshop description or booking confirmation. If you are unsure which session fits your experience, contact us before booking.

5) What are your cancellation and rescheduling terms?

Cancellations or changes must be made in writing, for example by email.
